Education Minister Jason Clare says unemployment remaining low is “critically important”.  

This follows the news that Australia’s unemployment fell to 4.0 per cent, down 0.1 per cent from last month.

“It is good news,” Mr Clare told Sky News Australia. 

“Low unemployment is critically important.

“We’re seeing inflation coming down … wages are going up … unemployment remaining low, and that’s the sort of trifecta we need.”
